The social sciences are multidisciplinary courses of study that allow students the opportunity to explore and express their ideas in a variety of mediums. The diverse nature of the department promotes free thinking while encouraging students to gain perspective about themselves and the world around them. A wide range of teaching strategies and classroom activities are tailored to a multitude of learning styles which encourage students to to formulate their own opinions and challenge their independent and critical thinking skills.
