Band
Concert Band: Concert Band rehearses every Wednesday from 2:45-4:00PM throughout the entire school year. The Concert Band is made up of students from Grades 10-12 and performs every year at school assemblies, the Sounds of the Season concert in December, the Georgian Bay Regional Musicfest competition in Collingwood in March and the Arts Night in May. Interested students should be taking a music course at BDHS and be able to read music. Please see Mrs. Hughes for more information.
Jazz Band: The Jazz Band rehearses every Thursday from 2:45-3:30PM throughout the entire school year. The Jazz Band performs at the Sounds of the Season concert in December, Musicfest in March and the Arts Night in May. Last year, the Jazz Band was given the opportunity to perform at the Musicfest National level and received a silver award. Interested students should see Mrs. Hughes for more information. Inter School Christian FellowshipA student lead, inter-denominational Christian based group. Doing devotionals, discussions, games, service projects and other activities of interest to the group. Meets every Wednesday at the start of lunch in room 223 for about 45 minutes

Ski and Snowboard Club 5 trips on Monday nights to Horseshoe Valley Resort 4pm to 9pm. Last Monday before xmas, first 2 mondays of January and First two Mondays of second semester (february)
Cost - $150-$175 (depending on bus fees) with your own equipment, or $60 to $75 (depending on bus fees) if you have a night pass to Horseshoe.

Strategy Gaming Club The Strategy Gaming Club plays social strategy board games. Strategize, conspire and lead your way to victory in an assortment of strategy games. Put down that video game controller and play your opponents face to face in a social environment! The Strategy Gaming Club will start meeting early November for the 2009/2010 school year. Meetings will be in the Library every Thursday after school until 5:00pm. To join, simple attend scheduled meetings. For more information, speak with Mr. Fisher or Mr. Griffin. Student CouncilStudent Council is open to any student. We meet Tuesdays after school in room 174.Everyone is welcome to come and express their opinion on a hot topic, or you can join us for long term. You’ll get to help organize school events like spirit days, dances, battle of the bands and the end of the year BBQ.We are currently looking for students to represent the Grades 9,11 and 12. Alpine Ski Team
Ran by head coach Mr. Jasek, and assistant coach Mrs. Piggott.
Train on same nights as ski and snowboard club at horseshoe Valley Resort. (5 trips on Monday nights to Horseshoe Valley Resort 4pm to 9pm. Last Monday before xmas, first 2 mondays of January and First two Mondays of second semester in february (Races are held January and February (4 races total) No experience required for Level 1. Level 2 racers are ones with race training. All you need is a love for speed and snow!
Cost is approximately $150 for season unless you have pass to horseshoe. [back to top]
Cheerleading Cheerleading is an awesome team sport that includes elements of: dance, gymnastics, stunts and cheering. The BDHS cheerleaders go to several competitions each year in addition to supporting school spirit. Cheerleading practices are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2:40 to 4:40. Practices begin the first week of school and continue throughout the entire school year, with breaks for exams and holidays. Official tryouts are September 23rd and 25th, 2009. The team's main competitive season is from February to May. Mr. Cameron and Ms. Lewis are the coaches for the 2009-2010 school year. You can contact Mr. Cameron in the History Office, room 226. Dance Bradford is proud to announce that for the first time in many years, we will have a dance team. Dancers will perform several numbers, in a wide variety of styles, such as contemporary, hip hop, tap, jazz and broadway. The dance team will rehearse throughout the year and perform at several events with the hope of competing in the new year. Auditions take place in September. Junior and Senior Girls Volleyball 
The volleyball season will soon be upon us, and this shapes up to be another exciting year on the courts. The Junior program at Bradford is a successful one, having gone to GB's the past 5 years, winning the school's first Georgian Bay championship 2 years ago. Junior aged girls (in grades 9 and 10) are encouraged to try out in November to continue on the tradition. For more information, please contact coaches Mr. Dyck or Miss Singh. The Senior program continues to impress, also having been to GB's the past 4 years and are ready to take on the competition this year with a strong group of returning players and impressive rookies. We are always looking for new players so don't feel intimidated to come out and get involved.
